Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions in London is recruiting a Lead Shift Engineer to join our team, applying a risk-focused maintenance approach across data centres and general offices. You will manage a small team, allocate tasks, and oversee maintenance within budget while ensuring services meet client SLAs.

The role requires an electrician with Level 3 qualification, 18th Edition, strong supplier management, and good communication.

Qualifications

  • Qualified electrician with Level 3 certification.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations knowledge required.
  • Experience operating data centres/critical environments.
  • H&S training (IOSH) required.
  • Strong contract/supplier management skills.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive and decisive.
  • Familiar with MS Office and PC skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage own time and allocate works to team members.
  • Control costs related to maintenance activities.
  • Ensure services meet client requirements and SLAs.
  • Maintain documentation and reports for critical facilities.
  • Provide emergency response standby/call-out.
  • Monitor utilities and environmental programmes.
  • Plan statutory maintenance and testing.
  • Ensure PPMs are performed as scheduled.
  • Liaise with CBRE EHS for audits.
  • Operate within annual engineering budgets.
