Lead/Senior Process Engineer - Nuclear

Job Description:

Reporting to the Process Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for producing process designs within multi-discipline engineering, EPCM, or EPC projects, ranging from Concept to Execution Design. Projects will primarily serve the nuclear sector but also include Oil & Gas, Energy, Utilities, Chemicals, and Food sectors, in both greenfield and brownfield contexts.

You will ensure the quality of process designs, participate in design reviews, and be responsible for client acceptance. You will make independent decisions, provide expert technical support, and manage engineering and design estimates, costs, progress, scope changes, and man-hours.

Candidate Profile:

• Degree in Chemical Engineering
• Chartered Chemical Engineer (preferred)
• Experience with process simulation tools and supervising remote teams
• Knowledge of process safety protocols (HAZID, HAZOP, CHAZOP, PHA, SIL, LOPA, DSEAR, pressure relief)
• Result-oriented with a client-accepted design focus
• Strong planning, organizational skills, and understanding of project dependencies
• Familiarity with British and European Standards
• Leadership skills to motivate and guide teams, manage change procedures, and communicate effectively with clients
