Job summary

Amazon Security is seeking a Manager II, Security Support Engineering to lead a team that secures access for thousands of employees at scale and drive Identity and Access Management (IAM) initiatives across Amazon's corporate environment.

You will mentor engineers, own day-to-day operations, and set priorities to deliver high‑quality outcomes while focusing on automation, root‑cause resolution, and an inclusive culture that helps every engineer grow.

Qualifications

Experience leading and developing high-performing technical teams.
Experience in technical support, software development, and web security.
Experience with Linux and at least one modern scripting language (Python/Java/Scala/NodeJS).

Responsibilities

Lead and develop a team of Security Support Engineers with clear priorities and coaching.
Own the team's operational results, ensuring on-time delivery and high quality.
Hire, onboard, and grow talent with development plans for next steps.
Guide the team through security investigations and risk remediation with sound judgement.
Automate workflows to reduce manual effort and improve processes.
Collaborate with Security Engineers and stakeholders to align on priorities and outcomes.
Track security metrics and drive improvements.
