Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Security Support Engineer to secure access at scale and assist customers with identity and access management challenges. You will troubleshoot issues, guide remediation, and help customers adopt new security products while aligning configurations with security standards.

You will contribute to scripting and tooling to reduce manual work, support security metrics, and document investigations while protecting customer data in line with security guidelines.

Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems or in technical support.
• Knowledge of UNIX/Linux operating systems.
• Experience with at least one modern scripting or programming language such as Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS.
• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Handle security-related support cases within the IAM domain, resolving issues and escalating when needed.
• Assist customers with remediation steps and identify blockers or patterns.
• Help customers adopt new security products or adjust configurations to meet security standards.
• Contribute to scripting and security tooling to reduce manual effort and improve consistency.
• Support security metrics delivery and identify improvement opportunities.
• Document investigations with customer impact, steps taken, and case status per info security guidelines.
