Job summary

Barclay Simpson is seeking a Lead Security Engineer to join a small, high-trust security function in London. You will own security engineering projects end-to-end across a Microsoft environment, driving improvements in identity and access, Zero Trust and cloud security.

Hybrid role (2-3 days in central London) with a base salary up to £80,000 plus bonus and benefits. The right candidate will build security controls, automate processes and collaborate with IT, Engineering and senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience in security engineering across Microsoft environments is preferred.
• Strong understanding of identity and access management concepts.
• Ability to automate manual security processes.

Responsibilities

• Own security engineering projects end-to-end.
• Improve SSO and access management.
• Strengthen joiner/mover/leaver processes and reduce VPN reliance.
• Improve visibility across the application estate and collaborate with IT/Engineering and stakeholders.
