Job summary

Immunocore seeks a senior leader to drive mammalian cell line development for GMP manufacturing of protein therapeutics. You will lead technical teams, ensure QA/GMP compliance, and guide strategy from bench to regulatory submissions.

The role emphasizes process development, DoE, technology transfer to Contract Manufacturing Organizations, and cross-functional collaboration with CMC, QA and regulatory teams.

Qualifications

• Essential: BSc/MSc in protein or biochemical fields; relevant industrial/post-doctoral experience.
• Desirable: PhD in related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Oversee mammalian cell line development for GMP manufacture of protein therapeutics.
• Drive cell line development strategy and maintain quality aligned with GMP and regulatory submissions.
• Utilise DoE and scale-down models to streamline development and enable transfer to CMOs.
• Provide regulatory-facing input and documentation for submissions.
• Mentor and guide junior colleagues; manage delivery to timescales and budget.
