South Lanarkshire Council is recruiting a Cook in Charge to supervise a catering team across several primary schools in Hamilton or Blantyre areas. You will be responsible for preparing meals, ordering goods and ensuring quality audits and food safety compliance.

The role requires effective communication, the ability to work on your own initiative and deliver a high standard of customer service within a busy educational catering environment.

Competenze

• Experience in supervising catering staff and Kitchen operations.
• Experience in preparing meals and managing orders.
• Knowledge of food safety systems and quality audits.

Mansioni

• Supervise a team of Facility Assistants (Catering) and assist with training and recruitment.
• Ensure provision of a quality service and report stock / quality issues.
• Undertake cash counting, balancing and recording of financial transactions.
• Prepare, cook and present a varied menu.
• Manage function work and transfer food items for serving.
• Carry out kitchen-related cleaning and hygiene tasks.
