Job summary

Shireland Collegiate Academy Trust is seeking a dedicated facilities and site manager to ensure the site is compliant, safe, and fit for purpose. You will lead on building projects, security, maintenance, and the cleaning team to deliver a high-quality learning environment.

The role covers planned and reactive maintenance, statutory testing and inspections, contractor supervision, and lifecycle works across the school estate. 37 hours a week, permanent contract, based at Smethwick.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in a school environment.
• Understanding of statutory testing requirements.
• Good communication skills.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety and hygiene procedures.
• Experience of ICT packages.

Responsibilities

• Oversee building project management, site security, maintenance and repairs, the cleaning team, and development of the site including the safe, compliant operation of security and building management systems.
• Lead on planned preventive and reactive maintenance, compliance and statutory testing, and statutory inspections of plant and equipment.
• Oversee engaging with contractors and contribute to lifecycle works of the school estate.
• Provide a comprehensive building management service encompassing soft and hard facilities management to meet school needs and statutory requirements.
