Job summary

Verts is seeking a Cleaner in Charge at Kirklington Primary, NG22 8NG, to lead the cleaning team and maintain high hygiene standards across classrooms and communal areas. The role runs 12.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 06:00 to 08:30, 44 weeks per year, with DBS and safety checks completed as part of the hiring process.

Applicants should have prior cleaning and supervisory experience, strong communication, and the ability to work independently while delivering excellent service in a school

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience is essential.
• Previous supervisory experience is desirable.
• Excellent communication and teamwork required.

Responsibilities

• Supervising and supporting cleaning colleagues on site
• Allocating daily cleaning duties and monitoring performance
• Cleaning toilets and washrooms
• Wiping down tables and surfaces
• General cleaning duties across classrooms and communal areas
• Hoovering and mopping floors
• Completing quality checks and maintaining cleaning records
• Ensuring high standards of hygiene and cleanliness are maintained
• Reporting issues, defects or hazards promptly
• Following health and safety procedures at all times
