Job summary

Miquill is seeking a Chef Manager in Stafford to take full financial and operational responsibility for the school's catering facility. You will lead from the front, delivering exceptional, creative meals and driving profitability while maintaining the highest standards of service.

You will oversee the entire operation, manage and coach staff, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. The role is Monday to Friday with 35 hours, 39 weeks per year, and a pay rate of £15.50 per

Qualifications

• Natural leader with ability to motivate and manage a team in a commercial setting.
• Strong understanding of gross profit, cost control, and delivering sales targets.
• Experience in fresh ingredients, high cooking standards, and menu development.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety compliance and allergens in a professional kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Lead the entire catering operation, balancing leadership with commercial acumen.
• Inspire, manage, and motivate the team to deliver a fantastic dining experience.
• Oversee menu development and ongoing innovation.
• Control costs across stock, food and labour to maintain profitability.
• Drive sales through monthly promotions and value-added events.
• Build positive relationships with clients and represent the company professionally.
