KBR is looking to recruit a Lead Safety Engineer on a 12-month contract based in Leatherhead, Surrey.

Responsibilities / Experience:

• Perform all aspects of Technical Safety scope area as part of a project team, or provide specialist expertise in key project areas
• Supervise and lead the Technical Safety team: provide technical direction, employee performance appraisals, coaching, and development of lower-level professionals
• Lead the design of larger and more complex assignments
• Provide technical guidance to designers and less experienced engineers
• With appropriate experience, lead the project Technical Safety team
• Skills gained through undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including final year design projects and work placements
• Expert-level understanding of one or more areas of Technical Safety scope
• Able to check and confirm the completeness of deliverables, including safety layouts and reports
• Minimum of 10 years related experience, with an average of 15+ years
