We are seeking an accomplished Technical Safety & Environmental Lead to join a high-performing engineering team delivering major capital projects across the energy and infrastructure sectors. This is a leadership role for someone passionate about safety, sustainability, and engineering excellence.
The successful candidate will oversee a sizeable technical safety and environmental team, providing strategic and hands-on direction to ensure technical deliverables meet the highest industry standards across all project phases.
Key Responsibilities
Lead a multidisciplinary team of technical safety and environmental specialists on complex engineering projects.
Provide technical direction and leadership across the group, ensuring alignment with project timelines, productivity goals, and quality standards.
Drive progress and manage outputs for key deliverables such as safety layouts, studies, and regulatory documentation.
Serve as the senior technical authority across multiple safety and environmental disciplines.
Review and validate documentation, ensuring completeness and technical accuracy of outputs such as risk assessments, layout plans, and safety reports.
Engage across FEED, detailed design, and EPC phases of large-scale projects.
Collaborate with engineering, design, and project management teams to ensure integration of safety and environmental strategies.
Skills & Experience
Minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience, with many professionals in this space typically having over 20 years.
Deep expertise in several core areas of Technical Safety and Environmental engineering.
Strong working knowledge across all other areas within the discipline.
Proven ability to lead project teams during FEED and EPC phases.
Capable of performing high-level checks on safety deliverables, ensuring quality and compliance.
