Leonardo has an exciting opportunity for a Lead Safety Engineer to join our experienced and established team. Working within the Integrated Sensors & Protection Line of Business, you will support the Design Authorities to assure safety of products. The role offers flexible home working, with the expectation of travel to our UK offices and occasional international trips.

As Lead Safety Engineer, you will provide assurance that products comply with Safety, Environmental, and Legislative requirements, primarily within the land, naval, and airborne domains. Working with other safety specialists, you will play an active role in maintaining and enhancing the Product Safety and Environmental Impact Management System, which is integral to Design Integrity.

This is a hybrid role, with expectations to work out of our site in Basildon, Southampton, Bristol, Luton, Edinburgh, or Newcastle at least 1 day per week.
You will have proven experience as a Safety Engineer, ideally within the marine environment; however, experience in other industries will also be acceptable.
