WHO WE ARE

We are recruiting a principal safety engineer to work with a multi-national, industry-leading Defence company in South-West London. Due to the nature of the work, you must hold or be eligible for SC Clearance.

WHAT WILL THE FUNCTIONAL SAFETY ENGINEER BE DOING

As a principal safety engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the Head of Safety as well as mentoring junior members in the implementation, coordination, and conduct of programme safety and environmental activities.

REQUIREMENTS:

• MUST be able to obtain or already have SC security clearance
• Experience developing safety management plans
• Experience conducting functional safety assessments
• Experience documenting system-level safety arguments
• Knowledge of UK and EU safety legislation
• Experience with IEC 61508 and safety standards such as Def Stan 00-056
• Experience in maritime or defence safety engineering (preferred)
• Experience with Event Tree and Fault Tree development using Reliability Workbench
