Job summary

Certo Aerospace Ltd in Frome, UK, is seeking an experienced Lead Rotor System CAE Engineer to own the mechanical performance and development of a rotor head assembly within its rotor system design team.

This hands-on R&D role combines CAE, mechanical design, aeroelastic analysis and leadership, taking concepts through validation and certification while mentoring engineers and collaborating with manufacturing, suppliers and test teams to deliver safe, high-performance aerospace systems.

Qualifications

• Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
• Significant experience in aerospace, rotorcraft, or complex mechanical systems design.
• Proven experience in rotor head control assemblies analysis and development.
• Experience with aerospace-grade FEA solvers and coupled mechanical-aerodynamic analysis.

Responsibilities

• Own rotor head system development from concept to certification support.
• Develop and manage DVP including tests and production release.
• Apply first-principles calculations to determine loads and sizes.
• Lead technical reviews and mentor a small team.
