Job summary

Navantia UK is seeking a Rigging Supervisor to lead and coordinate all rigging, lifting, vessel mooring and related marine operations within the Ship Repair business.

You will provide frontline supervision to rigging personnel and subcontractors, ensuring safe planning, resource allocation and operational control across multiple projects. Strong leadership and safety culture are essential.

Qualifications

• Rigging/Lifting experience in ship repair, shipbuilding or offshore environments.
• Knowledge of lifting operations, crane operations and related legislation.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and lifting plans.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and supervise all rigging activities in support of ship repair and marine operations.
• Lead vessel berthing, mooring and unmooring activities with safe, efficient execution.
• Develop daily work schedules and look-ahead plans to optimise labour and delivery.
• Ensure availability of labour, equipment, tools and materials to support operations.
• Monitor productivity, allocate resources and manage priorities to meet programme requirements.
• Coordinate with project teams, customers and subcontractors to ensure compliance and quality.
