Qualifications

• SVQ Level 3 in Social Services (Children and Young People) and an HNC preferred.
• 1–2 years' experience in a children’s residential childcare setting.
• Active registration with SSSC or immediate eligibility.
• Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift management and maintain high-quality residential care standards.
• Build therapeutic relationships with young people and model positive behavior.
• Prepare clear care documentation, logs, risk assessments and reviews.
• Mentor Residential Childcare Assistants to support team morale and consistency.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary partners to support development plans.
