Job summary

East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust is recruiting a Registered Nurse – Haemodialysis to join the Renal team at the Lister renal unit. You will contribute to high-quality dialysis care across the unit and participate in shifts to support outpatient services.

You will develop haemodialysis skills including cannulation, access assessment and fluid management, while collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of patient care.

Qualifications

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate the care needs of patients on haemodialysis with the involvement of patients and their relatives/carers.
• Develop competence and skills required to safely use and maintain equipment utilised in the management of renal patients.
• Undertake on-call haemodialysis provision training when gained the clinical expertise to support this for haemodialysis patients at the Lister Hospital.
• Participate in internal shift rotation in order to provide outpatient during Unit opening hours.
• Participate within a team of nurse and support workers in providing continuity of patient care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver care to patients on haemodialysis across the unit and nephrology ward.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to support renal replacement therapies.
• Assist in maintaining equipment and monitoring patient status during dialysis sessions.
