Job summary

Bridgemead, part of the Pilgrims' Friend Society, is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality clinical care and lead the care team on shift at our 32-bed Bath home. You will assess residents, develop person-centred care plans, monitor wellbeing, and liaise with GP teams to ensure safe, compassionate care.

We value leadership, ongoing professional development, and strong record-keeping. Two positions available: 36 hours and 24 hours per week, including 12-hour shifts, days and nights.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration.
• Experience in care homes or elderly care desirable.
• Confident leading teams and supporting staff development.
• Skilled in care planning, risk assessments, and clinical decision-making.
• Committed to continuous professional development.

Responsibilities

• Deliver professional, high-quality nursing care to residents.
• Assess, plan, and implement personalised, person-centred care plans.
• Monitor residents' physical health, mental wellbeing, and cognitive changes.
• Liaise with GPs, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Lead and support care teams on shift, ensuring high standards.
• Supervise and mentor Care Assistants and Senior Care Assistants.
• Conduct staff supervisions and support ongoing development.
• Ensure safe and effective medication management in line with NMC guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records and uphold confidentiality.
• Respond to incidents, safeguarding concerns, and clinical changes appropriately.
• Support inductions and training for new staff.
• Step in to provide senior cover when required.
