Job summary

Qualifications

• Hold a First Level nursing qualification and current NMC Registration.
• Demonstrate a minimum of 2 years nursing experience with up-to-date care knowledge.
• Post-basic studies/qualification preferred to support care planning.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead and instruct care activities.

Responsibilities

• Undertake nursing tasks including distribution of medication, dressings, catheterisation, tube feeding and management of chronic conditions.
• Advise families and GPs of changes in condition and involve them in ongoing care decisions.
• Supervise staff within the care team to ensure duty tasks are completed and residents receive required care.
• Provide high standards of care through accurate assessment and care planning.
