Job summary

Hamberley Care Homes is seeking a Lead Registered Nurse at Elstow Manor in Bedford to lead and coordinate high‑quality nursing care for residents. You will work within a multi‑disciplinary team, ensuring holistic care and strong family engagement.

You will mentor junior staff, advocate for residents, and drive continuous improvement in clinical practice while maintaining a supportive, compassionate environment. This role is on‑site with 12‑hour shifts and alternate weekends.

Qualifications

• NMC registration – either RGN or RMN.
• Demonstrable experience post registration in a similar setting.
• Care home or elderly care experience preferred.
• Commitment to delivering high quality care.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Passion and empathy with residents’ wellbeing at heart.

Responsibilities

• Lead nurse responsible for coordinating resident care and staff on shifts.
• Spend time with residents and families to provide holistic care.
• Lead the multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care.

Working Pattern

12 hour shifts and working alternate weekends on a rota basis.
