Job summary

Ballater House, a specialist learning disability care home with nursing in Coulsdon, Surrey, seeks an experienced Registered Manager to lead the service and drive high-quality care.

You will oversee daily operations, develop the team, ensure compliance with CQC and legislation, and continually improve governance and safety. A strong leadership track record and current NMC registration are essential.

Qualifications

• Current NMC registration and previous experience as a CQC Registered Manager.
• Experience managing a specialist or dual-registered care service.
• Strong leadership, people management and communication skills.
• Knowledge of risk assessment, safeguarding and evidence-based care.
• Ability to supervise, mentor and develop multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and delegate.
• Good knowledge of CQC requirements and relevant legislation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee day-to-day operation as Registered Manager.
• Recruit, manage, supervise, develop and retain staff.
• Oversee nursing and support worker rotas.
• Ensure high standards of care, medication management and service user reviews.
• Maintain compliance with CQC, Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act, health & safety and COSHH requirements.
• Drive governance, risk management and continuous improvement.
