Job summary

New Way Recruitment LTD is partnering with a well-established elderly residential care home in Harpenden to recruit a Registered Manager. You will assume full operational responsibility, ensuring safe, compassionate, person-centred care while meeting CQC requirements and maintaining a positive culture for residents and staff.

The role focuses on leading a multidisciplinary team, managing occupancy and budgets, delivering outstanding care, and supporting staff development and recruitment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Registered Manager within a residential or nursing care setting.
• Proven track record of achieving positive regulatory outcomes.
• Strong leadership, people management and communication skills.
• Passion for delivering exceptional elderly care.
• Sound knowledge of CQC regulations and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Provide strong, visible leadership and day-to-day management of the home.
• Ensure delivery of outstanding person-centred care tailored to individual needs.
• Lead, motivate and develop a multidisciplinary team, promoting a culture of excellence and compassion.
• Maintain compliance with CQC regulations, safeguarding and all relevant legislation.
• Manage occupancy, budgets and resources effectively to support the home's ongoing success.
• Monitor quality assurance systems, audits and action plans to drive continuous improvement.
• Build positive relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals and external stakeholders.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, supervision and performance management of staff.
• Support resident wellbeing through meaningful activities and high-quality care planning.
• Lead the home through inspections and ensure the service delivers excellent outcomes.
