Job summary

Leaders in Care is recruiting a Registered Manager to lead a 2-bed EBD children’s home in Wallasey, Wirral. You will oversee day-to-day operations, safeguarding, regulatory compliance and positive outcomes for each child, in a supportive, reflective leadership role.

You will manage a residential care team, ensure Youth Regulations and Ofsted standards are met, handle admissions, care planning, reporting, and develop a high‑quality service with budget oversight and staff development.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a children’s residential care operation.
• Knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations 2015, Quality Standards and Ofsted.
• Experience with safeguarding, risk management and care planning.
• Ability to produce regulatory reports and improvement plans.
• Ability to supervise staff and manage performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop the residential team to deliver safe, high‑quality care.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with 2015 Regulations, Standards and Ofsted expectations.
• Oversee safeguarding, risk assessment, care planning and behaviour support.
• Manage admissions, placement matching and transitions to meet needs.
• Maintain budgets, rotas, recruitment, training and workforce development.
• Build relationships with social workers, authorities, families and partners.
