Job summary

You will convert research algorithms into production-ready code in C and Python, and deploy software on physical robots with simulation and HIL testing.

Qualifications

• Extensive commercial experience in robotics control software.
• Strong hands-on C experience.
• Strong Python skills.
• Experience with real-time control systems.
• Experience with ROS2 and real-time Linux/RTOS.
• Experience taking algorithms from research/prototype into production.
• Experience with robotics simulation and HIL testing.
• Experience validating software on physical robots.
• Experience contributing to software architecture.
• Knowledge of automated testing, CI/CD and software releases.

Responsibilities

• Develop real-time control software for humanoid robots.
• Develop and optimise production-quality C and Python.
• Take control algorithms from research through to production.
• Deploy and validate software on physical robotic systems.
• Work with simulation and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
• Contribute to software architecture and technical decisions.
• Develop automated testing and software release processes.
• Work closely with robotics, mechanical, AI and systems engineers.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other engineers.
• Help establish engineering standards as the robotic platform scales.
