Job summary

Siemens Mobility is seeking a Lead Network Architect in the UK to drive the design and delivery of secure, resilient networks for railway projects. You will guide a team of engineers, engage customers and partners, and ensure solutions meet safety and security requirements across Signalling, SCADA, and backbone networks.

The role combines technical leadership with delivery and stakeholder management, offering hybrid work with three days in-office and two days remote, based in Ashby-de-la-Zouch

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science or equivalent.
• Experience delivering solutions in safety-related or mission-critical environments.
• Knowledge of systems engineering lifecycle and safety standards.
• Ability to communicate complex technical solutions to varied audiences.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for network design activities and assigned projects.
• Act as Responsible Engineer or independent checker when required.
• Ensure compliance with engineering, quality and safety standards.
• Lead development of high and low-level network architecture designs.
• Present network design architecture to customers and project stakeholders.
• Mentor team members and support testing, integration and commissioning.
