Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Rail Drainage Engineer to join our Rail North West & Central Business teams in Yorkshire, Cheshire and Manchester. You will lead drainage design packages, perform hydraulic modelling and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver compliant solutions.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree, rail drainage experience (desirable), and Chartered/IEng status is a plus. You will contribute to high-value infrastructure projects across the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Proven drainage design experience for infrastructure projects; rail experience desirable.
• Proficiency in drainage design and hydraulic modelling software.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of drainage design packages for rail and infrastructure projects.
• Prepare, review and verify drainage calculations, drawings, reports and technical documentation.
• Develop drainage solutions for surface water, foul water, SuDS, rail/highways drainage.
• Perform drainage design and modelling using InfoDrainage and CivilStorm.
• Coordinate drainage design with multidisciplinary project teams.
• Support approvals submissions to LLFAs and Water Authorities.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and technicians.
• Identify and manage design risks, ensuring compliance with standards and Arcadis requirements.
