Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to own the commercial performance of allocated construction projects from procurement through to final account. You will work with the operational team to control costs and protect margins, managing subcontractor packages and variations with clients and suppliers.

Ideal candidates will have a solid QS background in construction, experience in CVRs and Cost to Complete reports, and a degree or HND in Quantity Surveying.

Qualifications

• Experience managing commercial aspects of projects from procurement through to final account.
• Experience producing CVRs and Cost to Complete reports.
• Degree or HND in Quantity Surveying; CIOB or RICS accreditation advantageous though not essential.
• Ability to work independently while coordinating with the wider project team.

Responsibilities

• Take commercial responsibility for allocated construction projects and ensure costs are controlled and margins protected.
• Manage procurement schedules, appoint subcontractors, place orders and negotiate variations with clients and suppliers.
• Produce valuations, monitor cash flow, CVRs and Cost to Complete reports and keep senior management informed of commercial performance.
• Identify commercial risks and address issues before they impact profitability.
• Attend subcontractor meetings and maintain contractual documentation; ensure proper valuations and payments.
• Support junior commercial colleagues as needed.
