Job summary

The Opportunity Hub UK Ltd is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to deliver quantity surveying services across housing development projects. You will manage procurement, cost control, forecasting, value reporting and contractual compliance, while aligning with governance and commercial objectives.

You will collaborate with project managers, clients, design teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and finance teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budgets.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Quantity Surveying role within construction or housing development.
• Strong knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts.
• Experience managing project costs, budgets, forecasts, valuations, and final accounts.
• Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
• Strong understanding of risk management and change control procedures.
• Ability to interpret construction programmes and assess delay and disruption impacts.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate project cost forecasts, budgets, and cash flow projections.
• Monitor project expenditure and profitability against budgets.
• Produce cost-to-complete reports and cost/value reconciliations.
• Manage risk and change registers and mitigate commercial risks.
• Ensure compliance with governance, policies, and legislation.
• Administer applications for payment, interim valuations, certificates, and final accounts.
• Prepare and evaluate compensation event claims and insurance-related claims.
• Support procurement activities and supply chain processes.
• Manage contracts, subcontracts, payment mechanisms, and final accounts.
