Job summary

Barhale is seeking a Managing Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial management across civil engineering projects. You will provide daily commercial leadership to project delivery teams and senior management, driving cost efficiency, risk control and robust reporting.

Essential experience includes construction sector expertise, IChemE/NEC contract familiarity, and strong cost management capabilities. Barhale offers broad infrastructure exposure and clear career progression.

Qualifications

• Experience in the construction industry is essential.
• Strong cost management and procurement knowledge.
• Excellent communication and numeracy skills.
• Ability to forecast and manage cash flow.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial management of projects and provide guidance to teams.
• Manage cost reporting, CVRs, and cash flow forecasting.
• Oversee main contracts and subcontractor procurement.
• Identify and mitigate commercial risks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with project delivery, finance and senior management.

Education

HND/degree in Quantity Surveying

RICS membership or equivalent
