Barhale is a leading UK civil engineering and infrastructure specialist seeking a Quantity Surveyor to support project teams with cost control and commercial governance.

You will liaise with clients and subcontractors, manage cost reporting and forecasting, and ensure contractual compliance. The role requires experience in the construction industry and a formal QS qualification, with opportunities for progression across major infrastructure schemes.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in the construction industry.
• HND/degree in Quantity Surveying.
• Familiarity with ICE/NEC forms of contract and knowledge of Construction Law.
• Experience in commercial management and procurement of subcontractors.
• Strong numeracy and IT skills; proficient with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide commercial support to project teams with cost control.
• Maintain accurate cost reporting and forecast cash flow.
• Manage subcontract letting and financial accounting.
• Ensure supply chain engages under correct contractual terms.
• Collaborate with site teams to manage variations and claims.
