Job summary

Apple Technical Recruitment (UK) is seeking a Managing Quantity Surveyor for a Tier 1 contractor on a flagship Suffolk project valued at over £100m. The role oversees a team of Quantity Surveyors and reports to directors, driving commercial performance and project controls.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years at Senior/Managing QS level, proven leadership, and experience on £50m+ schemes, preferably on 2-stage projects. A degree in QS or CM is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience at a Senior or Managing QS level leading new build projects £50m+.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience on 2-stage projects would be advantageous.
• Sector experience: Commercial, Industrial or Defence.
• Previous Roles: Senior Quantity Surveyor or Managing QS or Commercial Manager or Lead Quantity Surveyor.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a team of Quantity Surveyors on a large project and manage all commercial functions.
• Produce CVRs, manage workload, handle payments from sub-contractors, variations and final accounts.
• Report to directors and contribute to team growth and regional development.
