Job summary

ARM in Bedfordshire (On-Site) is seeking a Lead Quality Engineer to own quality strategy across critical defence programmes. The role offers a four-day working week and permanent, on-site employment with a salary range of £65,000–£75,000 plus excellent benefits.

DV clearance is mandatory and currently held clearance is required. You will act as the focal point for quality-related activities, ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements while driving improvements that enhance

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Quality Engineer or Lead Quality in manufacturing/defence.
• Experience with Root Cause Analysis and corrective actions.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication.
• Experience with regulated Quality Management Systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead all quality activities across assigned programmes and projects.
• Act as the primary point of contact for quality-related matters.
• Ensure compliance with customer, contractual and business quality requirements.
• Drive RCCA and CAPA activities through to completion.
• Manage non-conformances and support MRB activities.
• Review and approve quality documentation and technical deliverables.
• Participate in design reviews, providing quality assurance expertise.
• Support bids and proposals by advising on quality requirements and risk mitigation.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement across products, processes and suppliers.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to maintain exceptional quality performance.
