Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking an experienced front-office engineering professional in London to build and operate core Rates trading tooling with emphasis on correctness and low latency.

You will own production services end-to-end, partner with traders and risk managers, and drive rapid, reliable delivery. The role requires strong Python development, experience with production services and CI/CD, plus a solid SDLC discipline and robust debugging across distributed systems.

Qualifications

• Strong Python development skills with production-quality code and tests.
• Experience building and operating production services with incident-driven troubleshooting.
• Practical SDLC discipline across design, implementation, testing, deployment, and release.
• Experience with CI/CD and observability to keep services stable and measurable.
• Ability to work closely with front-office stakeholders and adapt to shifting priorities.
• Strong debugging skills across multi-component systems.

Responsibilities

• Build and enhance Python services powering live Rates risk and P&L with low latency.
• Collaborate with traders and risk managers to turn requirements into production solutions.
• Own production services end-to-end including releases, monitoring, and incident response.
• Troubleshoot distributed components, data flows, and runtimes; drive fixes to reduce recurrence.
• Improve DevOps readiness, CI/CD, environment and dependency management, and automation.
• Maintain engineering standards through reviews, testing, and clear runbooks.
