Job summary

VIQU Energy in the UK renewable energy sector is seeking an experienced PV Installer Electrician to join our Yorkshire team. You will install, test, and commission commercial solar PV systems on site, ensuring safety and quality standards.

You will lead a small installation crew, mentor junior colleagues, and liaise with customers and site managers to keep projects on schedule. You will work to BS 7671 standards, read electrical drawings, and maintain thorough documentation, while upholding

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 electrical qualification or equivalent.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• Experience installing commercial solar PV systems.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and carry out testing and commissioning.
• Good understanding of health and safety requirements.
• CSCS/ECS card and full UK driving licence.
• Inspection and Testing qualification, such as 2391 or equivalent.
• Experience leading or mentoring junior installers.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, commission, and fault-find commercial solar PV systems.
• Lead and support a small installation team, ensuring safe and efficient project delivery.
• Ensure installations comply with BS 7671, design specifications, and company standards.
• Complete electrical testing, commissioning, and installation documentation.
• Liaise with customers, site managers, and contractors.
• Identify and resolve technical issues on site.
• Support and mentor junior team members.
• Maintain high health and safety standards across all installations.
