Job summary

National Gas is seeking a Lead Project Quality Assurance Advisor to drive QA across capital projects. You will own and develop the ISO9001 QMS, lead 1st line quality activities, and ensure compliance with legislation and standards across design, procurement, construction and commissioning.

You will act as QA adviser across a portfolio, oversee handover records, audits, and lessons learned, and mentor staff.

Qualifications

• Commercial acumen to drive value through simplification and standardisation while ensuring compliance.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate, negotiate and influence at all levels of the business and with external contractors, regulatory bodies and peer organisations.
• Expert knowledge and experience of working within a project environment.
• Incorporated Engineer status with a relevant professional institute.
• Experience and knowledge of Quality Assurance and Control (ISO9001).
• Experience in gas engineering and QA/QMS within transmission sectors.
• Experience undertaking 1st line assurance audits as per the QMS.

Responsibilities

• Lead investigations into non-conformances and ensure resolution and prevention measures.
• Develop, maintain and implement the Quality Management System (ISO9001) as SME for allocated BP’s.
• Provide independent QA/QC during design, procurement, construction and commissioning phases.
• Act as Quality Adviser across a portfolio of projects.
• Review and support project handover records and QA documentation.
• Review and accept Quality, Inspection and Test Plans.
