Job summary

J3A Recruitment, in partnership with a major civil engineering contractor, seeks a Project Manager for a long-term programme across the Southern Water region.

You will lead complex heavy civils projects, specialising in shaft construction and tunnelling, from mobilisation to handover, managing site teams, contractors and workflows while maintaining safety, quality and commercial performance. This is a contract role with 2+ years expected duration.

Qualifications

• Proven Project Management experience within heavy civils.
• Experience in shaft sinking, tunnelling, deep excavations or underground infra is advantageous.
• Strong programme and resource management skills.

Responsibilities

• Managing shaft construction, tunnelling and heavy civils packages.
• Mobilisation through to completion and handover.
• Managing site teams, subcontractors and direct labour.
• Planning and coordinating plant, materials and equipment.
• Managing construction programmes and lookaheads.
• Monitoring progress, cost, quality and safety.
