Job summary

Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority seeks an experienced project manager to lead the Garsdale-Hawes multi-use route project. You will work with communities, landowners and partners to shape the route from planning to delivery, ensuring funding is secured and milestones are met.

The role emphasizes collaboration, budget stewardship, and delivering a high-quality, accessible pathway in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Hybrid working and ongoing development opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience leading complex projects from development to delivery.
• Experience securing external funding and developing funding bids.
• Strong budgeting and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
• Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, development and delivery of the Garsdale-Hawes route project.
• Manage legal processes, approvals and consultations for the route.
• Build relationships with landowners, farmers, authorities and funding bodies.
• Coordinate a multidisciplinary project team and manage consultants.
• Secure and manage funding and ensure resources meet objectives.
• Ensure accessibility and adherence to Active Travel England guidance.
• Prepare reports and provide progress updates to senior managers.
