Job summary

Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority is seeking a Project Manager to lead the Garsdale-Hawes access and active travel route from Garsdale Station to Hawes. The role combines stakeholder engagement, funding coordination and delivery oversight in a nationally protected landscape.

You will coordinate a multidisciplinary team, ensure compliance with planning and access laws, and report progress to senior management.

Qualifications

Degree in environment, landscape, planning, conservation or related discipline.
Experience securing external funding and developing funding bids.
Experience managing budgets, consultants and project teams.
Ability to interpret and apply complex legislation and procedures.
Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Lead the planning, development and delivery of the Garsdale-Hawes route project.
Manage the legal processes, approvals and consultations for the route.
Build and maintain relationships with landowners, farmers, local authorities and funding bodies.
Coordinate a multidisciplinary project team and manage consultants and advisers.
Secure and manage funding, ensure resources meet project objectives.
