Job summary

A leading manufacturing organisation in Ayrshire is seeking a Project Engineering Manager to lead a team delivering complex engineering projects in a highly regulated environment. This is a key leadership role coordinating multidisciplinary teams to achieve safe, compliant, and on-time project outcomes.

You will manage site capital projects, drive continuous improvement, control budgets and schedules, and ensure design reviews and governance meet technical and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience managing engineering projects in regulated environments.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the Project Engineering team.
• Oversee projects from concept to completion, ensuring scope, cost and schedule are met.
• Develop and manage project plans, allocate resources.
• Monitor costs, changes, and budget control.
• Ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement across engineering activities.
• Lead risk identification and mitigation strategies.
