Job summary

Trant Engineering Ltd is seeking a Project Design Manager to lead the design delivery for water/infrastructure projects from our Southampton head office. You will coordinate multi-disciplinary teams of engineers and CAD technicians, ensuring timely, compliant design solutions across all stages of the design development process.

You will work closely with IDS, planning and delivery teams to translate project requirements into well-developed engineering designs, with a strong emphasis on

Qualifications

• Engineered design delivery experience in water/wastewater or related sectors.
• Experience coordinating multi-discipline teams and external designers.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate design resources to meet design fee estimates and schedules.
• Undertake design and safety reviews at key project stages.
• Manage design interfaces with third-party designers, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Liaise with Client Project Teams and internal planning and delivery colleagues.
• Drive HS&E focus during design and delivery.
• Identify opportunities for continual improvement of design delivery processes.
