Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience supervising a team of at least 10 people.
• Familiar with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
• Knowledge of 5S and shop floor organisation.
• Strong health and safety awareness and practices.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to plan, prioritise and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Plan shop floor production and work to the production controls schedule.
• Allocate tasks and determine resources for the team.
• Set targets and monitor progress for timely completion.
• Maintain highest safety and quality measures on the shop floor.
• Meet customer orders and deliver on time, prioritising orders.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement improvements.
• Work with KPIs and lean methods to raise efficiency.
• Manage holidays, absence, timekeeping and overtime.
• Ensure staff use SOPs, drawings, CCNs, ECNs and alerts.
• Train staff to work across areas within the section.
• Coach and mentor staff to company expectations.
• Liaise with management on staffing and production issues.
