Job summary

Flexistaff Solutions Limited in Potton, Bedfordshire is seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor to lead a team of around 14 on the morning shift. You will drive daily production targets, ensure quality and food safety, and maintain safe working practices.

This permanent, full-time role requires a proactive leader who can develop the team, optimise processes and ensure smooth shift operations. Your responsibilities include coaching, monitoring performance and ensuring compliance with GMP and

Qualifications

• At least 2 years' experience in food manufacturing.
• Experience leading people as a Supervisor, Team Leader or Line Leader.
• Knowledge of food safety, HACCP, CCPs, allergen control and GMP.
• Good health and safety awareness in manufacturing.
• Mechanically minded with ability to learn production machinery.
• Comfort with numbers, production paperwork and Excel.
• Clear spoken and written English; able to communicate with a multilingual team.
• Willingness to work shifts, overtime and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and motivate production employees to hit daily targets.
• Ensure schedules are followed and targets met on time.
• Maintain product quality, hygiene, and food safety.
• Enforce safe working practices and company procedures.
• Monitor productivity and address issues; escalate when needed.
• Identify opportunities to reduce waste and downtime.
• Communicate priorities and updates during handovers.
• Support induction, training and development of staff.
• Respond to production issues to minimise disruption.
• Develop understanding of all machinery and aid issue resolution.
• Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
