Job summary

Aurora Energy Research in Oxford is seeking a Product Manager to own a modelling squad's roadmap for energy storage and RES asset dispatch. You will partner with modellers, software engineers and analysts to deliver robust capabilities while influencing direction and prioritisation.

You will develop deep sector knowledge, translate trends into actionable requirements, and lead with an evidence-based approach to product decisions, mentoring junior team members as needed.

Qualifications

• Typically 4+ years in a software product role with ownership of outcomes.
• Proven ability to execute on complex projects and drive decisions.
• Strong craft in analytical product development and decision making.
• Works iteratively and evidence-led, delivering value with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to squad strategy and execute against it.
• Own the squad roadmap and defend it to stakeholders.
• Lead project management with the tech lead, removing risk proactively.
• Develop deep user understanding through regular client contact.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with modellers, software engineers, and analysts to build robust capabilities.
• Participate in methodological discussions ensuring accuracy and interpretability.
