Job summary

Aurora Energy Research is seeking a Product Manager to lead one modelling squad focused on foundational modelling capabilities for asset dispatch. You will own the roadmap, engage with clients to translate trends into requirements, and partner with modellers, engineers, and analysts to deliver robust, valuable capabilities.

You will combine first-principles problem solving with evidence-led decisions while mentoring junior teammates and driving cross-functional collaboration within the Software

Qualifications

• Typically 4+ years in a software product role with ownership of outcomes.
• Proven ability to execute on complex projects.
• Strong product management craft: analytical decision-making and stakeholder alignment.
• Iterative, evidence-led, focusing on outcomes over output.
• Autonomous: can set direction without close supervision.
• Able to master complex technical domains in energy markets and storage.
• Excellent communication across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Sound judgment on applying AI to improve work and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the squad strategy and execute against it.
• Own the squad roadmap and defend it to stakeholders.
• Lead project management with the tech lead, removing risk proactively.
• Develop deep understanding of users through direct contact and represent the customer voice.
• Collaborate with modellers, software engineers, and analysts to build valuable capabilities.
• Engage in methodological discussions to ensure accuracy and interpretability.
• Become a domain expert on storage and RES economics.
• Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of learning and high-quality execution.
