Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a senior design leader to own the end-to-end Sesame product experience, shaping the user journey for investment professionals and family offices. You will define data representations across portfolios and transactions, partnering with engineers to codify a living design system.

You will apply advanced design craft to dense financial interfaces, review AI outputs, and help set production-ready standards. Collaboration and mentorship are core to this role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years designing B2B, analytics or data-heavy products with deep UX expertise
• Systems thinking—think in objects, relationships and states before screens
• Real craft in dense data interfaces: tables, grids, charts, hierarchy, typography
• Fluency with AI-assisted design as a working method and the specification skill described
• First‑hand user research
• Comfortable as an editor and enabler: reviewing others’ work, teaching, holding a line
• Genuine curiosity about finance
• Strongly valued: front‑end engineering experience
• Comfort reading a component, working in a library such as shadcn/ui and reviewing a front‑end PR
• Product management instincts are also valued
• Portfolio or work conversation, short practical exercise, and working session may be part of the interview process

Responsibilities

• Own the Sesame product experience end to end, including client journey, interaction logic, look and feel, and overall consistency
• Shape the journey for investment professionals, family offices, and their advisors through direct engagement
• Define how portfolios, positions, transactions, and valuations are represented across the platform
• Help define the product’s visual identity and consistency
• Develop a living design system in code with front-end engineers
• Apply craft to dense financial interfaces, including scalable tables, precise numbers, and robust drill-downs
• Define standards and instructions for AI-assisted design tools
• Critically review AI-generated output and refine rules to prevent recurring issues
• Build and ship product experiences rather than only specify them
• Design for production constraints including scale, loading states, error states, and messy data
• Review others’ work, teach, and maintain quality standards
