Job summary

VEED, a hybrid London-based AI video platform, seeks a senior design leader to shape how users interact with generative AI. You will own design direction across new surfaces, build early prototypes, and partner with product, engineering, and research to define what good looks like when shipping AI-powered experiences.

You will influence senior stakeholders, coach designers, and help craft a system that scales as VEED expands into new products and surfaces.

Qualifications

• Deep product design experience with judgment on ambiguous 0→1 problems
• Track record of setting design direction for a product or company
• Fluency with generative models and practical experience building/prototyping with them
• Strong prototyping ability to make ideas tangible
• Systems thinking and pattern definition
• Comfort with being early and changing your mind quickly
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders without formal authority
• AI-native working style using AI tools to enhance effectiveness

Responsibilities

• Set the design vision for how people create with generative AI across surfaces
• Define bets at the roadmap's front end
• Turn frontier model capability into marketer-friendly tools
• Build prototypes and artefacts to make unbuilt ideas concrete
• Collaborate with engineering and research to understand model capabilities and limits
• Define how users express intent, steer a model, and iterate when outputs are nondeterministic
• Decide where control sits between user and model
• Design for waiting, cost, failure, safety, and wrong generations
• Establish and document VEED's evolving design patterns
