Job summary

Ferrovial Construction is leading the £80 million upgrade of Slough Sewage Treatment Works, coordinating procurement across design, construction, commercial and planning teams. The Senior Procurement Manager will manage tendering, bid evaluation and subcontract documentation for the JV and Thames collaboration.

The role requires strong NEC contract knowledge, excellent communication and a structured governance approach to ensure robust procurement outcomes for a major UK infrastructure project

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of NEC contracts and other bespoke contracts.
• Previous experience as a procurement lead in construction and line management experience.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across the company and with partners, suppliers and customers.
• Demonstrates a structured and methodical approach to managing procurement activities and documentation.
• Champions proper governance of procurement within projects.
• Experience or familiarity with NEC contracts and bespoke contracting frameworks is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate procurement activities with design and construction teams.
• Chair weekly procurement meetings and maintain Master Procurement Plan for the project.
• Prepare and amend ITT documents and manage tender queries.
• Lead bid evaluation and draft commercial comparison charts for approvals.
• Draft proposed subcontract conditions and provide contractual advice on procurements.
• Ensure procurement governance aligns with JV and Thames requirements.
