Job Description:

This role is based in the UK and is remote.

Qualifications:

• Academic/Professional: A relevant first degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
• Experience: 10 - 15 years of experience in Refinery, Chemical, Petrochemical, COMAH, or Hydrogen sectors. Prior experience as a Survey Risk Engineer in Insurance or related companies is essential. Candidates with experience in the Oil and Gas industry will have an added advantage.
• Degree: Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct risk assessments to identify risk characteristics, evaluate conditions, and assess safety measures implemented by clients to aid in accurate risk pricing.
• Investigate significant failures to determine responsibility of involved parties.
• Identify opportunities to enhance risk selection and assignment processes, improving efficiency and timeliness based on risk characteristics and locations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and implement alternative survey processes, including virtual surveys, to assess risks to employees, visitors, and customers.
• Identify and recommend improvements to virtual survey processes, tools, and technology.
• Work with management to implement changes that maximize efficiency and quality while minimizing costs.
• Develop and structure risk management solutions for clients and potential clients.

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of risk management, risk management solutions, maintenance, and Health & Safety practices.
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written) for explaining complex ideas to diverse audiences.
• Analytical and strategic planning skills with understanding of financial statement analysis and reporting.

• Good knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks and environment.
