Job Description:
- Academic/Professional: A relevant first degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
- Experience: 10 - 15 years of experience in Refinery, Chemical, Petrochemical, COMAH, or Hydrogen sectors. Prior experience as a Survey Risk Engineer in Insurance or related companies is essential. Candidates with experience in the Oil and Gas industry will have an added advantage.
- Degree: Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct risk assessments to identify risk characteristics, evaluate conditions, and assess safety measures implemented by clients to aid in accurate risk pricing.
- Investigate significant failures to determine the responsibility of different parties involved.
- Identify opportunities to enhance the risk selection and assignment processes, improving efficiency and timeliness based on various risk characteristics and locations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and implement alternative survey processes, including virtual surveys, to assess potential risks to employees, visitors, and customers.
- Identify and recommend improvements to the virtual survey process, tools, and technology.
- Work with management to implement changes that ensure maximum efficiency and quality while minimizing costs.
- Develop and structure risk management solutions for clients and potential clients.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong working knowledge of risk management, risk management solutions, maintenance, and Health & Safety practices.
- Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) for explaining complex ideas to diverse audiences.
- Analytical and strategic planning skills with a good understanding of financial statement analysis and reporting.
- Strong selling and relationship management capabilities.
- Good knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks and the regulatory environment.
- Attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and commercial awareness.
- Diplomacy, negotiation skills, and strong time management abilities.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure.
